Proposed Rules Will Impact Anesthesia - Sedation and Advertising

The State Board of Dentistry is revising the rules that dental offices must follow when administering anesthesia or sedation.  The anesthesia and sedation revisions are significant in that they define four levels of sedation and place requirements on dentists and office staff based on the levels of sedation they achieve with their patients.  Additionally, the proposed advertising rules will place new requirements on any dental office advertising specialty services.
