Dental Shortage Areas

There are a number of areas in South Dakota that have been designated as Dental Health Profession Shortage Areas in South Dakota.  Dentists locating in these areas may qualify for financial incentives including loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps.  Many of these areas have an existing private practicing dentist, community health center dental clinic, or an Indian Health Service dental clinic.

District Dental Societies have announce their Spring meeting dates: 

Southern - Saturday, April 5, 10:00 a.m. Mitchell - Avera Queen of Peace Hospital

Northern – Tuesday, April 8, 6:30 p.m. Webster – The Galley Restaurant
Southeastern - Monday, April 14, 5:30 p.m. Sioux Falls - Westward Ho Country Club

Black Hills – Thursday April 17, 6:00 p.m.Rapid City – Arrow Head Country Club

  
The SDDA House of Delegates will meet on Thursday, May 15 2014 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 17 at 3:30 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Several resolutions will be considered during the meetings. Delegates will debate on a number of issues affecting the South Dakota Dental Association. All members are invited to attend.
