Continuing Education Requirements

Dental Requirements

Dentists are required to take 100 hours of continuing education every 5 years, with at least​ 50 hours academic.

Dental Hygiene and Dental Assistant Requirements 

Dental hygienists are required to take 75 hours of continuing education every 5 years and advanced dental assistants are required 60 hours of continuing education every 5 years. Dental hygienists and dental radiographers are required 5 hours of continuing education specifically in dental radiography every five years.
